NYSH Provings

A homeopathic proving is a systematic method of testing the effects of a substance on healthy volunteers, establishing the remedy's characteristic symptoms for use in treatment.

What is a Proving?

Provings are the foundation of homeopathic Materia Medica. When a group of healthy volunteers take repeated doses of a substance and systematically record their physical, emotional, and mental symptoms, the resulting symptom picture becomes the basis for prescribing that remedy to patients with similar symptoms.

NYSH Proving Projects

The New York School of Homeopathy has conducted several provings over its history, contributing to the growing body of homeopathic knowledge. Students and faculty have participated in and documented these projects as part of our commitment to advancing classical homeopathy.
